The drivers at Lukso were all friendly and professional.  I used them daily for three weeks.  For the most part they arrived promptly, but on the two occasions they were delayed, the drivers kept in contact with me to warn me and keep me updated. We booked a ride from Portsmouth Cruise Terminal to Heathrow airport.  We were delayed disembarking from the ship by almost an hour, but our driver Jamie waited patiently and kept messaging us to let us know where he was waiting and how to let him know once we were finally off the ship. Do you cover the whole of Southampton?
Yes. Lukso collects from anywhere in the city, including Ocean Village, Bedford Place, Portswood, Highfield, Bassett, Shirley, Freemantle, Millbrook, Swaythling, Bitterne, Woolston and Sholing, along with Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Hedge End, Hamble and Netley. We are based in Waterlooville, around 20 miles east, and cover Southampton daily.
Can you collect from Southampton Central or the cruise terminals?
Yes. We cover all five cruise terminals: Ocean and QEII through Dock Gate 4, City through Dock Gate 8, and Mayflower and Horizon through Dock Gate 10. We also cover Southampton Central and Southampton Airport Parkway stations, the Red Funnel Terminal at Town Quay, Southampton General Hospital and any residential address in the city. Give us the berth number from your cruise documents, and we will take you to the correct gate.
Do you charge for waiting time?
There is no waiting charge at any airport. We track your flight and adjust for however long you are held at passport control or baggage reclaim. For meetings, events and other pickups, there is a 15-minute grace period before waiting time applies.
Is your service available day and night?
Yes. Lukso operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including bank holidays. Early airport departures, late-night arrivals and pre-dawn cruise embarkations make up a large share of what we do in Southampton.
Why book a Lukso chauffeur in Southampton rather than a taxi or Uber?
Three reasons. Your price is agreed before you travel rather than calculated at the end, so traffic and delays cost you nothing. Your chauffeur is assigned in advance, in business dress, in a Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Audi valeted that day. And your booking is held whatever the demand, so there is no surge pricing and no cancelled car at five in the morning on a turnaround Saturday.
What is your cancellation policy?
If the booking is cancelled 24 hours or more before it is due to begin, there is no charge. If it is cancelled less than 24 hours before, the booking is charged in full. Contact our customer support team with any questions.
